MANCHVEGAS: We all have called it that, but do you know where Manchester actually got the nickname “ManchVegas”?
I’ll give you a hint, maybe two. It’s not from the wonderful Manchvegas Bar and Grille, and it’s not just from someone randomly just started using it when referring to our fabulous city.
Also, the Vegas style lights above are a nod to ManchVegas’ origin story…

ManchVegas actually comes from illegal gambling that took place in local businesses in the 1980’s and 90’s.
Many bars and pizzerias had video poker machines that paid out actual money. The city was coined after a city-wide bust of the machines, thus ManchVegas was born!
