Happy Friday, Manchester! This week’s post is brought to you by Trixie, and is dedicated to a very special woman who passed on earlier this week, Julia’s Aunt Nina.
If you’ve met Julia, you know that she’s proud of her big, crazy Italian family! Her heritage is a prevalent part of how she lives her day to day life, especially when it comes to food. After doing some research into Italian customs, I learned that food sharing is the biggest way to connect families and friends. Whether to show love in times of celebration, or show support in times of great loss, it is the Italian way to come together and share a homemade meal.
Although I never met her, I do know that Nina was a pillar of the LoCascio family, and holds a significant place in the hearts of many.
So in honor of Auntie Nina, I’d like to share this recipe for Italian Cookies with you all. May you get to share these and many more homemade recipes with your loved ones!
