I don’t know about you, but I’m obsessed with Tasty videos. Let me clarify; have you seen those short recipe videos that your friends share on Facebook that always result in something mouth-watering (and probably covered in cheese)? I love them! I could spend hours watching all of those delicious creations being made. The best part is knowing that you too can make delectable delights at home!

This past week I stumbled upon the perfect Tasty video: Strawberry Shortcake Pancakes and more for Mothers’ Day!

What a yummy-looking spread! You can find the recipes here.

Of course, if you don’t have the ability to cook breakfast in bed for the moms in your life, you can check out our Mothers’ Day blog post for other awesome gift ideas!

Happy Cinco de Mayo!

Did you make it out for the Taco tour last night? The weather was perfect for hopping down Elm Street, picking up tacos, and listening to live music! The Judges’ Choice winner last night was Midtown Cafe with their grilled chicken kabob taco. Although I got to try a ton of awesome tacos, I’m kicking myself for not waiting in that line!

My personal favorite taco was served by Fratello’s, but a huge shout out goes to Firefly for having an open toppings bar! What was your favorite stop?

#foodiefriday May-2-2014

Happy #foodiefriday Manchester! I cannot believe it is already May! Hopefully the weather stays on the warmer side. I just love sitting outside for a long lunch or for drinks after work! Luckily Manchester has plenty of outdoor seating right downtown where you can relax with a great meal and take in the sights. What’s your favorite outdoor spot downtown? I think mine is a tie between J Dubs Coffee, World Sports Grille, Murphy’s Taproom, and 900°! There’s also Cafe La Reine, Finesse Pastries, Margarita’s, DRYNK, The Wild Rover, The Shaskeen, Ben and Jerry’s, Firefly Bistro, XOonElm, Fratello’s and MANY more!

Get out there and enjoy Manchester!

What a crazy week!

I hope you all enjoyed St. Patrick’s Day! We were able to sneak out of the office and headed to Strange Brew Tavern and The Shaskeen–so much fun! Today’s #foodiefriday includes quite a few St. Patty’s pictures from local restaurants–shamrock latte art from Cafe La Reine, delicious green desserts from Finesse Pastries, Irish coffee-chocolate trifles with Baileys & Jamison from Strange Brew, and a BIG stack of empty kegs from The Shaskeen. Manchester does St. Patrick’s Day right!

We can’t ignore that this Thursday was the first day of Spring! Everywhere we look, downtown businesses are gearing up and we LOVE it! Enjoy this week’s post and let’s all join together for a collective, “NO MORE SNOW!”

If you are a downtown restaurant and have a new special or menu item, or if you’d just like to promote your most popular dish, email me a picture (jwhitney@intownmanchester.com)  to be featured in a #foodiefriday blog post!
