Last night I had the pleasure of going to New Hampshire 2019 Magazine’s Best of NH party at Delta Dental Stadium. The weather was perfect, if not a little hot, the food options were spectacular, and we had a great representation of downtown Manchester!
Here are our 2019 Central Business District Representatives and what deliciousness they brought to the party:
Red Arrow Diner: Mini meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and gravy
Fratello’s Italian Grille: Peanut Butter dessert bombs, classic bruschetta and mushroom bruschetta
The Birch on Elm: Beet and cured salmon salad tossed in dill dressing with house made ricotta, topped with crispy rice paper and a Daydream in Blue cocktail with tequila, house made blue curacao, lime, pineapple, and coconut
110 Grille: Gluten-free pulled pork mac and cheese
Madear’s: Jambalaya and Southern greens
Noodz: Chilled kimchi vermicelli, rice vermicelli, kimchi emulsion, corn, scallion tempura crunch
Van Otis Chocolates: Chocolate fondue with graham cracker and marshmallow
A&E Coffee Roastery & Tea: Draft mocha Latte and Razzle Dazzle iced tea
I can honestly say there was nothing that we did not like- I don’t eat pork so I had help in tasting certain dishes, and for both of us it was consistently “yeah, I’d eat that again.” There was not one place in the whole stadium that did not deserve to be there. The lines moved quickly and the food was hot (except the ice cream and drinks). I can’t even pick out a favorite; looking at the pictures above brings me right back to it and makes my mouth water. I definitely recommend visiting any of the locations that participated, but especially the ones right in our district. We are proud to have them and appreciate their consistent devotion to making great food and full tummies. Congrats to all of you on your Best of NH 2019 status! Can’t wait to see what you bring us in the coming year and hope to see you at the party again in 2020!
More on the event, because I know you’re sad you missed it and are curious as to what other things there were: As soon as you walk into the stadium, there were entertainers. That was not the only place though, there were more on the field, on the concourses downstairs and upstairs, and there were even a few walking around. All of the performers were great and each one had a crowd around them to watch, listen, and even dance. We also learned about how Coca-Cola recycles every piece of the bottles and reuses them into different fabrics and materials (some strong enough to build a bridge in Fort Bragg). I know it’s not food, or in our district, but it was super interesting and impressive! The Northface jackets a lot of us wear? They’re PLASTIC! So please keep recycling, and leave the cap on, it gets recycled too!
All in all it was a great, delicious, and gorgeous night!
