Happy Friday! Julia here, back from Texas and dreaming of BBQ! I had a great time and even better food! If you want to see pictures and hear all about it, stop by the office, I’m always up for a #foodieconvo!
This Wednesday night Trixie and I attended the Taste of the Nation right here at the Radisson in Downtown. The Taste of the Nation is a tasting event of food, wine, beer, and cocktails with great live music. This year’s event benefited the New Hampshire Food Bank, NH Kids Count, New Hampshire Farm to School and the Boys and Girls Club of Manchester!
We were told in the beginning of the evening to ‘pace ourselves’ as there was a lot to try. We probably should have listened! Some of our great downtown restaurants were giving samples including: 900°, Campo Enoteca, Cotton, The Farm Bar & Grille, Firefly American Bistro and Bar, Fratello’s, Hanover Street Chophouse, Ignite & Hooked, Java Tree, Milly’s Tavern, Mint Bistro, Waterworks Cafe, Bayona Cafe, and XO on Elm!
Among our favorites were the antipasto skewer from Fratello’s, the mini-martinis from Cotton, the pulled pork from The Farm, the duck confit flatbread from Waterworks, the chicken farfalle from Firefly and the Monarch Roll from Mint. Among many, many more!
