This past Friday was Intown Manchester’s Annual Adopt-A-Block!
It is a great opportunity for downtown businesses to get outside and help make Manchester beautiful! The Parks and Recreation generously supplies us with all of the tools we need for the clean-up. Our volunteers were hard at work raking, spreading mulch, picking up trash and pruning in the Millyard, at Veterans Park and at the Hartnett Lot! In the Millyard alone we filled almost 30 bags of leaves and branches and almost 10 bags of trash!
We had about 50-60 volunteers this year from: Northway Bank, Westbridge, Baker, Newman, Noyes, CDM Smith, TRC Environmental, The City Clerk’s Office, The Radisson, and Emerson Ecologics! Also helping out was Margaret Hagan from the UNH Co-op Extension who helped direct our teams in the Millyard! THANK YOU TO ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS!
Check out some pictures below of our volunteers hard at work!
