For 19 years now, Intown Manchester has organized a Spring, volunteer clean-up effort in Downtown, Manchester. This year, we had an AMAZING turnout, with 11 Teams and almost 70 Volunteers!! We made the right call cancelling Adopt-A-Block on the 12th (it turned out to be sleeting and snowing all day!) and re-scheduling for the 19th where we had BEAUTIFUL, 70 Degree weather.
Thanks to the following teams, who truly worked extremely hard and had a fun time while doing it!
The Radisson Hotel, 900 Degrees, The Hilton Garden Inn, Emerson Ecologics, Families in Transition VISTA Program, Nixon Peabody LLP, Gethsemane Lutheran Church, CDM Smith, Northway Bank, Jeca Yoga & UNH Manchester
Clean-up areas included Stanton Plaza, Veterans Park, The Millyard between Stark and Spring Street, The Railroad Tracks and Granite Street Medians, and the Boat Launch on S. Commercial Street. Clean-up activities included trash pick up, raking, mulching, pruning, weeding & more! To view MORE PHOTOGRAPHS, please CLICK HERE!!
And a special thank you to 900 Degrees, who hosted a gathering for us after the clean up, and the ladies at the UNH Cooperative Extension, who year after year, continue to help instruct and teach the Adopt-A-Block Volunteers! We couldn’t do Adopt-A-Block Without you!!
