If you are looking for something unique for an Easter Basket, a local Egg Hunt, a Sunday Brunch, or a new service to attend…Once again, Downtown has it all!
First, I am going to share with you where to get some great Easter goodies Downtown. You may be thinking you already know the chocolate shops Downtown, and that its easier to just pick up chocolate at the convenience store while you are grabbing a gallon of milk. But- I urge you to shop local, and get something for your loved one that they’ve never had before!!! Here are some suggestions:
Finesse Pastries- I purchased a number of these hand-painted chocolate eggs for my friends and family this year! I thought it would be a nice little treat to send to my friends in New Jersey and my brother in college. Not only is it a great, homemade piece of chocolate, but they are seriously pretty to look at too!! At $4.95 for their “egg,” sized egg….you aren’t breaking the bank. Larger pieces go up in price, but are still affordable. Finesse Pastries is located at 968 Elm Street.
If chocolate could talk, this egg would surely have a story to tell. Chocolatier Richard Tango Lowry, at Dancing Lion Chocolate, handcrafts each piece of chocolate so that they hold a story of their own. Each creation literally doubles as a piece of artwork. There are only a few of these masterful eggs, but if you are trying to make an impression this Easter, you should try to get your hands on one! Click Here to view more photos. I encourage you to stop in the shop to at least take a look at them…it is like going to a gallery…and grab some of their signature Drinking Chocolate while you are there (If you haven’t tried it yet, you are missing out!!). Dancing Lion Chocolate is located at 917 Elm Street.
Granite State Candy has opened up shop right here on Elm Street in Manchester! They offer THOUSANDS of chocolate bunnies to choose from in milk, dark, white, and calico chocolate! You can surely find something for everybody on your list here! Ready made baskets are also available. Chocolate from Granite State Candy is the type of thing your loved ones will fall in love with, so expect them to expect it every year! Granite State Candy is located at 832 Elm Street.
Van Otis Chocolates is a Manchester staple, dating back to 1935! Not only will you be giving loved ones a delicious, hand-crafted gift but also a piece of history! They have everything from Easter Baskets, to chocolate center pieces. Shopping at Van Otis is like being part of a tradition, and there’s no reason you shouldn’t make them part of yours! Van Otis Chocolates is located at 341 Elm Street.
As for activities, I am just going to list a few that we’ve heard of! If you know of any others, or are a business holding an event…please email me at email@example.com and we’ll add the info! 🙂
